Iron Cross RestorationA report in from Commander Creech, “Here are 2 different iron crosses I took from my Church Graveyard at Walnut Grove Baptist Church and Sandblasted to bare metal and put 4 coats of primer and 4 coats of black finish on and just returned them back to the graves on Friday, a week and a day of total time on this project”

Monument Clean Up

HeadstoneOur Cemetery & Monuments committee has been out in force this week. Compatriots Jim T. and Brandon W. were able to clean and reset over 30 stones. The photo here is of one of the more elaborate stones that they discovered while working in Hollywood Cemetery.

Wreath Presentation

Jim Tingle presents wreath on behalf of the camp.Compatriot Jim Tingle presented a wreath on behalf of the Edmund Ruffin Fire Eaters Camp 3000 on Saturday afternoon at the Confederate Memorial Headstone Dedication at Hollywood Cemetery, hosted by the Southern Soldier Remembrance Foundation.

The Cemetery & Monument Committee gathered after the Confederate Memorial Headstone Dedication on Saturday afternoon to do a bit of impromptu cleaning on a few of the stones.  Thanks to Brandon White, Jim Tingle and Brandon L. White for their service.
