Benjamin M. Nicholson
1st Sgt 46 NC INF CSA

Compatriot Walter Smith located a Confederate marker for Benjamin M. Nicholson. 1st Sgt 46 NC INF CSA in an old cemetery on Old Hundred Road, off Enon Church Road. He is buried in an old family cemetery (the area is now zoned industrial). He does not appear to be related to the Burgesses who are buried there. Walter reports that the cemetery is covered with briars and periwinkles – it is being “slightly” tended to by someone who runs a bush hog over the area from time to time.
